Houton Bay Lodge B&B is situated next to the South Isles Ferry terminal at Houton, just off the A964 road between Kirkwall and Stromness. Just 10 miles from Kirkwall and 8 miles from Stromness, access is quick and easy whether you are travelling to Orkney by sea or air. From the South Isles ferry terminal visitors can also enjoy easy access to the islands of Hoy and Flotta. Houton Bay is well served by public transport from both Kirkwall and Stromness.

All rooms at Houton Bay Lodge provide very spacious accommodation and include remote control TV along with tea/coffee making facilities. Rooms are accessed via a private entrance at the front of the building, next to the car park. There are flower gardens to the front of the building.

Houton Bay Lodge offers exceptionally well-appointed double and twin rooms. Family rooms are available if required. All our rooms have Double or Single Beds in them, apart from the Flotta suite, which has a Superking Bed. They have recently been extensively upgraded and improved with some especially adapted to assist those with disabilities. All rooms are on ground level.

Houton Bay Lodge offers two luxury suites (the 'Hoy' and 'Flotta' Suites). Each suite has a Double Bed (Flotta has a Superking Bed), luxury en-suite facilities (plus bath and separate dressing room in the case of Hoy Suite), writing desk, trouser press and fridge. The suites offer either a Bay view or a Hillside view.
